The Aquarium
The Aquarium is an aptly named shallow shoal reef also called Fischer's Rocks on some charts. It's pillar coral formations and boulders piled up on one another create a network of small grottoes and dens which are filled with fish. Sergeant majors, blue tang, chromis, sponges, fire coral and even the occasional nurse shark mean that this is a rewarding snorkel or dive for most. For those interested in shells, one often finds flamingoes' tongues, sand dollars and creamy cowries.

Mountain Point
Mountain Point is an excellent dive for both novice and experienced divers. Novice divers can enjoy the large coral heads, overhangs and sand patches that make up the basic reef structure. Parrot fish, grunts and butterfly fish are common and in the sandy patches you may catch the odd lizard fish.

More experienced divers may venture further to explore the grottoes, archways and swim throughs where they will find barracudas, large jacks, eagle and sting rays are frequent visitors.

The Invisibles
This spectacular dive is located to the north of Virgin Gorda, the Atlantic and Anegada's treacherous Horse Shoe Reef are all that lie beyond it. In calm waters the summit of the twin pinnacles is visible just below the water. The area is piled high with rocks and boulders and with it's prolific sponges and soft corals this is a dive of tremendous colour. There are a couple of swim throughs, and a large overhang which shelter durgons, grunts, hinds and smaller tropical fish. The pinnacle slopes gradually away to about 70 feet on the far side. The visibility here is fairly good to about 80-100 feet. From time to time, if you are lucky enough, you will see the odd eagle ray, large permit and schools of spade fish. With a little patience, one can get a manicure from the "cleaning stations" manned by shy Pederson cleaner shrimp.
